Joni and Peyton's trip to Iowa

My dad last week had a hip replacement surgery. My sister Linette flew into Rapid City and then we traveled to Iowa together. We were glad to have spend the time with our families. We tried to get to Iowa on Monday but because of the blowing snow we decided to spend the night in small town out side of Sioux Falls. So here is Linette and Peyton hanging out at the motel.

Peyton traveling in the jeep. He was a wonderful rider. He sleep all the way there and all the way back except for feeding times and the one time he was too warm.

This Linette, Gr'pa T, Joni and Peyton in the hospital. We arrived on Tuesday morning to Spirit Lake the day after my dad's surgery. He came through the surgery well. He had a few bad nights while in the hospital but was always in a good mood. Now he is at home and recovering.

While we were home the Prins and Grandma S. came and saw Peyton. In this picture to the left Cousin Whitney is holding Peyton. They had notice that he is a bigger and has his eyes opened a little more. Thanks for guys for coming down to Spirit Lake. We were glad that we got to spend time with you.

In the picture to the right Gr'ma S holding Peyton. We are looking forward to seeing you again in the end of Feb.

Peyton and Linette reading together. It was nice to have a extra pair of hands during the day. Thanks Linette!

A big day

Can you guess what is different about me?

I have a belly button now.

We noticed that Peyton had lost his umbilical cord when we were changing his pants. Then we put him on the floor for his tummy time and with both Jason and I watching Peyton decided to slowly rollover for the 1st time.

Joni and Jason on December 20th of 2008 went into Rapid City, South Dakota to give birth to Peyton. We left at 5:00am to go to the hospital so Joni could be induced. It was 9:03pm when Peyton was born. We got released from the hospital on December 22nd. We spent Christmas in Wall, then on Friday we traveled to Spirit Lake for Peyton's Baptism at Immanuel Lutheran on Dec. 28, 2008.
