Hockey weekends
The last few weekends went have gone to Delta Junction and Kenny Lake for Peyton to play hockey.
Delta Junction game
the week before the kids play a game with a ring and you had to hold your stick up to to move the ring around on the ice. Peyton liked the game so much that is how he held his stick most of the game.

Kenny Lake
While traveling to Kenny Lake 3 moose decided to cross the highway.
Pictures of the scenery as we traveled.
I am already to go skate.
The first game was at 6 p.m. and it was outside. One parent called it Alaska's Friday night lights. I wasn't looking forward to having a game outside mainly because I was thinking it would be like Tok's weather, really cold. Boy, was I wrong in that thinking it was 15 degrees and lightly snowing. It was wonderful to be outside and not be bundled up and freezing.
Pregame talk.
Nolan's favorite was the playground.

Jason's 37th birthday
I has been a while since I have updated you with what is going on with us. Jason in December celebrate his b-day. Before we moved to Alaska Jason found some of his T-shirts that had from High school, Marines, and SDSU days. He wanted me to make a quilt out of the shirts. I said that think we should take it to Iowa so I can get some help on it. I have never made a quilt before and need some advice. Jason didn't know that while he was in Selby trying to sell our house, I was working on cutting up his shirts and sewing them together. I finished sewing all the blocks together before he joined us at my parent's house. Then we moved up to Alaska, my mother and Aunt Judy finish the quilt for me. Thank-you so much for all the work you did on his quilt I am so grateful.

Peyton's 1st Hockey game
Last Friday and Saturday was Peyton's first hockey games. They played Delta Junction. Delta is about 100 miles away because of the distance the Delta team and some parents spent the night at the school. The Tok hockey club (aka all the hockey moms) make supper and breakfast for all the people sleeping at school.
Peyton with Mr. C ready to go on the ice.
Heading on to the ice.
Peyton is wearing #5. My favorite part of this video clip is when Peyton is waving to everyone in the crowd.
The Mites team's age level is from 3 yrs old to 8 yrs. old. Delta's team was mostly 8 yrs old so when faced off with our preschools it looked like David and Goliath. We had a friend of our send us this picture I thought it was Peyton until I looked at the gloves and laces on the skates it is his good friend Mr. C.
Getting some help from the referee to the line. One of the Referee is a coach for the older kids. He was pretty good about helping the preschoolers get to the line.
During Friday night game was the first time we had seen Peyton actually push off on his feet and skate. Before he would just walk on the ice.
On Saturday the Mites played at 11:00 a.m.
Delta won both games by quite a few goals but it was fun to watch the kids skate around the rink trying to get the puck.
