An afternoon at the park

We decided to take the kiddos to the park this afternoon since if was SO nice outside. It was Nolan's first trip to the park here in Selby. He did very well he slept in the stroller for a little bit and the rest of the time was held by dad. Peyton is really beginning to enjoy all that the park has to offer. He goes running around the play ground equipment up the steps and down the slides without a lot of help from mom and dad.

Our First Snow Fall

This is what we woke up to on Wednesday morning. Jason also had a 10:00 o'clock start that morning due to the high winds blowing the light fluffy snow around on the roads. The snow now is mainly gone we still have a few little spots of snow left.

Our Outside Play Area

This fall oour neighbor heard that Jason was going to build a sandbox. She asked if we would like her sandbox since her grandkids are too old for the sandbox and don't play in it anymore. We were willing to take it off her hands. Peyton has really enjoyed digging in the sand.

This last week we added a slide and a picnic table to our backyard. Thank-you Ryan family for the new additions to our play area. It has been hard to get Peyton to come back into the house because he loves playing in the backyard.

One Month old

I can't believe that Nolan has been with us for a month. Wow where did the time go? Something that Nolan has been doing is lifting his head more and more on his own. This weekend I was changing him and he started cooing. At first I thought is was Peyton but then soon realized that no it was Nolan. Nolan also will push off of you with his legs he only does this when he is crying. He has been sleeping about 4-5 hrs (or a rare occasion 6 hrs.) during the night. Jason gets to do the 9:00-12:00 shift and I get the 12:00-6:00 shift. So when Peyton goes to bed I usually try to go to bed also. Our nights have been going pretty well. Nolan also loves to rock in the swing. It is where he takes his afternoon nap .

It is Finished....

Yes the garden season has come to an end. We received a killing frost Friday night so that meant that on Saturday Jason pulled tomato plants. We were very happy with our garden this year. I love being able to go out into our garden and pick fresh veggies for our meals. There are a few things we are going to try next year like some square foot gardening, growing garlic, and trying to have a better herb bed.

It was so nice this week that we all went for a stroller ride.
