Exploring the Tok River

Walking the path to the river
On Sunday we went for a drive to the village of Mentasta.  On our way back to Tok we made a stop at the Tok River.
In the foreground is the Alaskan Range

Do you think we can cross?

Only if we throw more logs for the crossing!!!

Will these work for the crossing dad?

    1. I will work on the woodcutting one next. No we don't have hiking sticks but everytime with go walking the boys will pick up some random stick and pretend it is a gun.

    1. We maybe be going to the State fair. The weather up here is cold in the morning this week and then warms up to mids 60 degrees but if you go up into the mountains it is colder. It feel like fall weather to me.

  3. Jason, Joni & boys ~ I've finally had a chance to read and see all that you've been up to since July. What a marvelous trip -- literally from one corner of the US to the other. The pictures are beautiful, and I'm sure they don't do the 'real thing' justice. Thank you for sharing the stories and pictures of your travels, of your new place of residence and everything in between. Looking forward to seeing you again in October!
